You know I have been web programming for about 3 years and I have gotten pretty good with PHP and blah blah blah, but I keep coming across the term Legacy sites and I have no idea what this means, lol. I know someone is peaing themself right now with laughter, but can someone humor me and tell me exactly what the term Legacy sites means.

The only silly question is the one un-asked. A legacy site is one built without adherence to accessibility and other standards. Typically it's an old site and the web author can be excused but an awful lot of new sites are legacy sites and just plain awful.

When being less charitable the term "tag soup" is often employed.
