An effect like the sun sparkling on metal

Does anyone know where I might find an animated GIF that makes a sparkle? Something like those goofy teeth brightening commercials on TV, or that old Wonder Woman intro where Lyle Waggoner smiles and his teeth sparkle. Or maybe the new Star Trek warp effect.

How would you go about making one?

What I have in mind is to make a "glint" that fires once, and position it somewhere over a logo in a web page.

Well your logo would be the base image in your gif and the glint or star made of glints would be what changes. I'd make the glint star quickly appear from a dot and then rotate slightly, then shrink back to nothing.
