Can anyone reccomend a shopping cart?

I've been searching around and I've found a million shopping carts, but everytime i go through them and start the sign-up process, I am bombarded by questions and requirements that my clients do not want to freely give the answers to. Also am having a hard time finding one that allows for an online item manager, I can't exactly let my clients go onto my web server to adjust prices and options, need a remote way of doing that.

Also almost all of my clients have had a problem with giving their social security number, and who could blame them. Are there any shopping carts that can meet my criteria.
