I'm trying to install Windows Small Business Server Standard Edition over Windows Server 2000. I found the product ID by going into the I386 folder and looking in the unattend.txt file. When I enter it though, it gives me a "Product id not valid" error message.
I don't know if this matters, but I didn't realize I didn't have the product ID until I got to that point in the installation. So I had to take the CD out and put it in another computer to find the product ID (I couldn't find a hard copy). I'm not sure if removing the CD during the installation process may have caused a problem.
I've also been told that a few years back someone tried to install this on a different computer but couldn't get the networking or something configured right so they uninstalled it. I'm wondering if this could be the problem.
Anybody have any ideas on how to fix this?
