I've got a new client who wants me to update and seo his sites, but he has no clue who his webhost is. He's got the registar details, but they don't host his sites. The previous webmaster has disappeared. The whois details only show his registrar, not the web host. Does anyone know how to find out?

i tried that url and i kept getting wrong provider. to be 100%, you can check the dns

http://intodns.com/

enter the domain and look at the nameserver. usually ns1.domain.com. that domain usually is the hosting provider for the domain unless they are on a reseller account.

Hey, that's a great site. Thanks for that. And I think this one has the actual correct info, as the nameserver matches the name of the company that did the original web design.

Thanks for the help guys! Very much appreciated! I am so grateful for this forum!
