If you want to actually learn asp.net buy a book. To learn some new aspects, you can take online tutorials, but if you do not know the structure of the languages or the prinicipals of the technology going into it buy a book. www.asp.net is the official microsoft asp.net site. What do you mean by 'hot topics', asp.net has many new aspects that asp cannot offer such as components, xml webservices, the fact that it can be done with more languages and its new mobile controls that can adapt to work for different models of cell phone, palm pilots, etc. If you go to the link in my signature, why asp.net it will explain some of the features that asp.net offers that are unique.
