Portfolio/resume question

First off, sorry if this is in the wrong forum it seems to be the most appropriate one.

I have a few sites that I've worked on that are no longer on the Internet for one reason or another.

How do I handle this on my portfolio/resume? I mean such is the nature of the Internet. But, what are your suggestions?

I would just list them. Like my cv is a list of the projects I was on, my responsibilites and the outcome. They only have my word for it.

Same for you - what was the site, what did you do, were you on your own or part of a team, was it successful? If appropriate (and adds to your cv) mention details re the company - what they sold and maybe their name.
