Password controlled entry

Hi everyone, Ive just joined in a bid to improve my site. Top of list after deciding on a suitable colour scheme/font/layout is to offer an area of my site that people can only enter with a password.

As a writer I want somewhere to post my articles that doesnt violate publishing copyright and cost me the right to sell any "first" rights to my work.

Anybody know how or where i can go to do this?

do you know what server side technologies your server supports? They will be neccessary in creating a secure password/login page.

Not that much. Funds at present are limited and so is the package I have with my host. If I find out there's something in particular I need I can get it added to my package as an individual component.

I was kinda assuming that it would be some sort of script that I needed to add to a particular hyperlink that allowed the link to be completed.

sounds like you need to get a better host, php/cgi are not expencive to run on a server.
