Displaying a word document in the browser

Hi,
I have a web page without frames. Here I need to display a word document in the centre of the page while maintaing other links on the right side of the page.

My question is .....
(1) Is it possible to do this without frames? If so how do I do it?

(2) I've saved .doc file as .htm. Can we use that file(.htm) in the browser?

Take a look at this thread. I have a link attached that opens a "chromeless window" in center of page. May be what you need. It's actually a popup of sorts, but you can position it anywhere (ie, centre of your page). Could hold your word doc.
