Hi,
You may have been asked this before, but....

I was wondering whether it would be worth having a forum to deal with general P.C. (or Mac - another forum perhaps) problems?

Such as IIS/Outlook/IE/OS problems.

Alot of newbies use this site for help and advice, which is one of the reasons for it's existence I would imagine. It therefore follows that some, who are not familiar with configuring their machines for networks and/or the internet could use a little help. Most of the time these task are quite straight forward and problem free. But as we all know this isn't always the case.

There are already alot of forums etc. for this type of thing, but I thought it might be really good to have one here. This site could be the one-stop-shop for all your computer and web design ills.

What do you think - dumb? beyond this site?

Regards

This is a Web development site, and I'm sure that Pete knows of a sister-site for Internet.com that is about this sort of thing...

Actually, any general computer questions that you(or anyone else) have should just get posted in the General section. Although it is a Web Development forums, we will still do our best to answer your general computer questions.

the site is

http://www.virtualdr.com

the general section should only be used for General web design issues.

However no one will yell at you for posting a non web question there.
