Multiple IEs under VirtualPC 6 ?

I was wondering if anyone has ever installed multiple versions of IE onto virtualPC for the Mac. I saw the instructions in one of the users sig : http://www.ryanbrill.com/


I figured it would be worth a try. I was able to extract all the files, butI can't get the ieexplore.exe.local to launch or anything.

I'm running win98se under vpc6.1 if it makes any difference.

Just curouious; figured it would be nice having an install of IE5 to test on.

I have no idea if it will work on Virtual PC. Once you have extracted the needed files, deleted SHLWAPI.DLL and added IEXPLORE.exe.local, try clicking on the IEXPLORE.exe file and see if the browser comes up.

OK I got it to work! All this time I was trying to double-click and run the Iexplore.exe.local file.

I found this site :

and downloaded a file with all the necessary files to run IE5 as an additional browser. I realize now that the iexplore.exe needed to be in the directory, and that file should be run.

Yes, I would have uploaded a zip file that contained all the neccessary files, but was afraid it would violate a M$ liscense agreement, thus the instructions only.
