formatting getting lost

i have a paragraph in my page ..see attached image herb.jpg


but when i see in the browser , (see screen.jpg) i find

options A,B has come into a straight line ...but i wanted them to be listed as in herb.jpg.


what modification i need to do in my code so that in the browser i get the same formatting as in herb.jpg ?

All i wanted is to have option list A,B,C etc in the browser i.e in screen.jpg ....how do i fit in there in my original code i.e in herb.jpg ?
