It isn't that I am having issues per se with FireFox but I have noticed that its quality seems to have slipped as has some add-ons like NoScript. For example, with NoScript, I was browsing the weather report on Yahoo and I usually have NoScript "Allow this page" so I can readily look at the weather of other locations but after the most recent NoScript update, when I go to Yahoo weather, a FireFox message comes up telling me it encountered an -unexpected Error- then closes the window. No weather report for me I guess. So if I want a weather report I have to "Forbid" the page. The same thing happens to me on a couple of other sites too so I have to -Forbid- that site so only the basics of the site is used. I did not change any settings in FireFox or NoScript but the most recent update seems to be a bit buggy. FireFox is ok but the site has changed and for some reason it seems as if the whole FireFox -company- has changed too. Am I just imagining these things or has anyone else encountered issues with an otherwise good browser. P.S: I did try Opera but couldn't get it to work. Wouldn't connect to the internet even if I used the separate dial-up window then opened Opera to a preset page. Odd. Another PS: I am having trouble here, I cannot use parenthesis as it ends up with an "e ; thing and the spacing won't work too. Odd because I posted a couple of days ago and had no problems.

With your PC prob, it appears that your machine is neurotic... they sometimes mirror the emotional state the user.
On Firefox... report your problems with bugzilla if they really are bugs. Plug-ins are developed by "us" and Mozilla is making them available for other users. If you indeed have a "buggy" plug-in, you can have a whack at fixing it yourself if you would like to take a go at it!

It's not just Firefox. I need only look into the mirror to confirm that the whole world continues to decay. And see http://www.theonion.com/content/news/nadir_of_western_civilization_to?utm_source=a-section .

Mmmm...Thanks for the replies however I do not think my computer is neurotic though. Problem is I am not a developer so I do not know how to fix these things but one would think a developer would make sure that the plugins they develop are functioning properly rather than just unleashing something to the public.
This can spell disaster for a company if they just allow anything and if it messes up someones computer then..oh well..which seems to be FireFox's attitude.

Hahaha! Come on, why would an individual or small group of developers be any better than a massive multinational corporation like Microsoft? Or Apple? Or any other company that has to issue patches/fixes for their software on a regular basis? This is just the way the world works - software has bugs and always will, nothing is ever perfect out of the box. If it was, then version numbers would only ever have one numeral (if any) after the dot, instead of looking like this: 3.5.30729 (my current version of firefox).

Well...it is not my intent to ruffle feathers here but I am stating an observation and regardless of whether something is open source or not, there still seems to be a need for responsibility.
I don't need to be patronized, I know how the world works especially in the business world but I still say that FireFox is digging its own grave especially since they had some changes in their development team..or so I have heard.

I didn't think the topic was business... it was firefox plug-ins and apparently a few other problems with your machine, but some of us tend to lose track sometimes.
Plug-ins... if they do not work the way you would like them to there isn't necessarily a problem with the plug-in. If you don't like it - remove it or do something constructive like advising the guy who wrote the plug-in about the "problem"
Firefox - Have you updated to the most recent version???
Enjoy! and have a pleasant day.

How sweet. However I have no idea as of yet what plugin is causing the problem nor do I know who made it.
I simply asked because I thought there might be a chance that someone else may have encountered a similar issue so therefore I AM doing something "constructive" by asking people like you.
I had updated but it seems like the problem may have occurred with the more recent upgrade so I uninstalled and am using an older version.
I don't have many plugins except for Adobe Reader, Shockwave Flash, Shockwave, RealPlayer, Mozilla Plugin..basic stuff so I am at a loss.
Thank you

I've noticed a few little problems with the new Firefox on my laptop. It crashes the odd time when it gets pushed a little too hard and it opens tabs in new windows by itself sometimes. The crashing might be just my ****ty laptop, hasn't happened yet on my new computer.
Doesn't bother me though, it'll always be the number 1 browser for me.
