Flv does not play in Dreamweaver HTML page

this website seems to be one of the greatest for new web developer as well as pros.

I have a question here, hope some one will help me. I am new in web developing field, I have created a html file in dreamweaver cs4 I have latust verson of flash player 10, when I insert swf file that plays well but at the place of flv file it only shows some icons of skin like play, paus, sound and video does not play. i wonder what could be the reason.

Post a little more info along with the code used to place the player on the page. Are you using the .swf to play just one .flv or a playlist? Did the .swf work (play the .flv) before you placed it on the html page? What were you expecting the .swf to look like, besides just the control buttons? Where is the .flv file located in relationship to the html page (the folder path)?
