How to add text using CSS ?

I have a jsp page which displays an image. I am including two images in another jsp page. I want a heading text running across these two images at the top. How can I do it using CSS ?

what does the html look like? the text and images can easily be positioned with css. give us the layout and you can be given some solutions.
