I got ambitious this weekend and put up three new translation sites on some domains that I had...

http://www.TranslateDanish.com - already getting traffic
http://www.EnglishOnlineTranslation.com - Just finished...
http://www.TraduzioneItaliano.com - Currently being translated but already getting traffic.

Details:
CMS = Wordpress 2.8
Translation Engine = Google Translation API
PHP Scripts = Me

Innovations: The translation box for me was fun to make.

PHP from RSS feed with the built-in translator

When I first had this idea, I thought that it would be cool to generate original dynamic content if I could capture a Danish-language newsfeed, and then translate it into English using the Google API.

Unfortunately, Google knows this 'trick' and does not count this translated content as original.

It is a cool thing for the users if they wish to read the news on a foreign site in their own language.

I would appreciate any more ideas for sites like this as I have about 1/2 dozen translation domains that I want to finish by Sunday... :-)

It's definitely quite fast. I usually use the one on dictionary.com to translate english to spanish, and it's pretty slow. I'll use yours now.

Thanks 6String!

BTW - I finally mastered Bach's Prelude in C on the guitar this weekend too... it's not difficult on the guitar except for one blasted chord which I always buzz...

I had been putting it off.

If I had more time I would work on Paganini's 24th Caprice... I only know the beginning so far...

I appreciate your ambitions, but can advice you to pay your attention to the quality of your sites instead of quantity:) At your place I'd prefer to improve the existing sites.

That's a lot of fingers moving...way over my head. Shredding 5ths is about as far as I ever got...but it's still fun!

Actually, Prelude in C is not that hard. It's mostly just slow arpeggios over a series of chords. Only two of them twist your fingers...

Check out the tab... it's easier than it looks... except for those two blasted finger twisters...

The song is also known as an "Ave Maria", the other being the famous one by Schubert.
