Hi there

I am a book store owner in my city with basic understanding of web hosting and dare to install one cms, for quite a while I was searching for one cms that allows me to list my books and sell them using ecommerce system, unfortunately there are not much variety out there….some are expensive and licensing stuffs like that..

Glee…I found one cms called libmaker (http://www.libmaker.com/), this is under my budget also but I am not sure if this has everything I need like admin panel with all those features like in other cms, has anyone tried this or you have any other recommendation please help.

Both Chromium Cart (http://forum.chromiumcart.com/) and PrestaShop (http://www.prestashop.com/) are excellent FREE Open Source options. I have used both for clients.

Zen Cart is the leading open-source ecommerce software out there right now. I am currently leading a project to develop an ebook site that will be ready to launch in about 10 days. We are selling ebooks in 4 different formats, and also offering a publish on demand option. People can pay via credit card, PayPal, Google Checkout, or there are a whole host of other options you can install.

The templates are customizeable, you can build your entire site within Zen Cart, and it offeres maximum security.

If you want the address or to talk further about it, please pm me and I'll get you the link.

Also, one of the first things I did was to gather contacts of other people using Zen Cart for books, so I've got some other resources that may help you too, if you decide to use it.
