Configuring Site Architechture with Wordpress

Hi,
Currently my website is using three different platform. Site is build in php and uses third party ecommerce shopping cart service which is build in specific script language. Also we are using community server as our social media platform.
Now plan is to move community server to wordpress mu and Eventually convert whole site (PHP based site) into wordpress.

I am not if I can keep my main site and community on same domain using wordpress mu or should i creat community as a sub domain to main site ,with both having there own instance of wordpress mu.

Any reference is appreciated.

third party ecommerce shopping cart service??? "service hosted by someone else" or hosted on your server?

Hi,

You can leave your main site as it is and install wordpress MU in sub domain and migrate your current community with in it.
