I'm looking for a way of introducing some basic content management elements into an intranet that will be built by developers in ASP.NET and I don't want to use a fully fledged CMS system that takes control of the entire web building process.
Ideally I'm looking for a system that will give the business a front end that they can use to design and store their text, images etc, and then some sort of .net libraries that we can include in the website so that we can put some sort of content manageable control on the page which will display the content designed by the business.
Our developers will then retain control of creating new pages and when we need a very specialised feature they can build the pages as usual without having to build up some sort of template for a CMS to incorporate.
Is this a strange request? Surely there are systems like this around? Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
