Hi,
does anyone heard about this company?
is it worth to do a certificate with them?
I am thinking to sign up a web development course to get a certificate and would welcome some advises.

Thanks

Well, I've never heard of them but I have heard of a lot of similar course offerings.
I would take note that the page you linked to has 93 errors (http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.netcominfo.com%2Fpackages%2F2519%2FWebsite-Development-Professional-training.html%3Fadvid%3D65&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&ss=1&group=0&user-agent=W3C_Validator%2F1.654#line-8), mixes inline styles with CSS and the .css has a mistake (http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?uri=http://www.netcominfo.com/packages/2519/Website-Development-Professional-training.html?advid=65&gclid=CJWD_qKq0Z0CFR9N5QodyRdpyQ) that a beginner shouldn't make... not a very good example of "web development" skills.
Think about it... what might it entail to be a "Web Development Professional"? You have to admit that the "title" is a little ambiguous. If the web page is any indication of NetCom's standards, obviously they don't expect you to learn much. Do you really think you can actually learn enough to do anything in any field of work in 7 days?

Very good point!
Thank you. Their questionare was weird too.
I can build a website too, with actually valid css but I feel I need to know more and trying. To find a place where I can.
You said you heard about a lot of courses. Is there any u would recommend?

I would recommend NONE of the courses I've seen advertised. Check with a local university to see if they might offer what you need. I know that there are a lot of "private IT" schools around the globe also...
The key is to really scrutinize the curriculum, which you should be able to do since you do have some experience. And also take note of textbooks that might be being used... NONE are up to date!!! Better courses use resources generated "in house" that are regularly updated. I have seen university courses using references that are ten years old! so much for the credibility of the course.

I'm really not sure what the web has to offer as far as "updated" tutorials in English... most of them are outdated will still contain a lot of valid information. I do know of a couple that are pretty up to date in Spanish and Portuguese though.
