ok recently i've opened a scanned image in photoshop it goes an insanely 5digitX5digit Pixels so what happens is that my com hanged and stopped responding. after that i could not even start up my computer as it would jus hang at start up (i could only use safe mode at that time).

after that i reformated my com. now my com is newly reformated, everything is fine. however everything though fine, is extremely laggy. like when i "restore" windows. move windows around, even stuff like scrolling, its doing in very annoying frame by frame lagginess.

is there anything i could do to fix this issue? any help would be thankful thanks

Have you checked to see if your RAM is intact? A good indication that you might be missing part of your RAM would be a lot of HDD accesses while windows is writing to/reading from virtual memory. And Windows and Photoshop ARE memory hogs.

in system in the control panel... will show Mb/Gb RAM... usually minus the RAM used for video. You shoild know how much RAM is supposed to be installed. if there is a big discrepancy.... whoops! There may be a hardware diagnostic program installed depending on the flavor of windows you have... some OEM installs include goodies like that.
