Hello,
I have been working some time to try and develop a community News site for the Rockingham County, NC Area, I tried several different types of styles, did html to start with with static pages using cutenews to store and post the stories, then graduated to Wordpress and a mag style theme...... Any suggestions on layout or flow or overall scheme would be appreciated, the url is http://www.rceno.com Rockingham County Events and News Online

I just took a quick look at it and my first impression is that I was overwhelmed with information. It was all a bit messy and it wasn't anything that immediatly drew your attention so you know what to look at. Maybe you shouldn't post everything new on the first page. My impression was that it was too much. But maybe it's just me :)

It's very impressive and looks good. The only comment i have (other than agreeing that there's too much info on the home page) is that you need to size your images (thumbnails) properly. You're losing the aspect ratio and the images are distorted. It makes a very professional site look a little sloppy.
Other than that, good job.

The problem I am running into is the site is using a Wordpress theme with the plug-in Featurme, When I size the thumbnails for the slider at top they are 160x107, however the other thumbs for other areas on page is 110x110 or 60x60.... I cannot find where to change these setting to make them more uniformed.... Any Suggestions?

I don't know Wordpress at all. You can size them using Javascript or PHP, but you would have to go into the code and change it.

Wow, very nice. I've got to say that this is one of the better looking Wordpress sites that I have seen in awhile.
Normally when I look at a site to review I don't have any problems finding something to criticize.... ;)
The only thing I see that looks bad is that your two vertical advertisement bars on the right have showed me a couple of 404 errors, but seem to come back on refresh. it could be my internet connection or something because now that they have loaded properly I can see that they are Google ads... strange that they didn't load...
Really good job!
