Hello,
Thanks in advance for reading this and for your input.
I have just launched a new Free Advertising Network site and I am looking for ways to improve it before I begin promoting it. The URL is http://buzzlord.com. My goal is for the site to provide highly reputable and high-quality image advertising for free, and I want to do my best to get that message across when a user first visits the site. It is free because each member displays ads on their site in exchange for their ad being shown on other members sites, so it is basically an exchange. I don't want the site sending any signals to the users that the site is not reputable for any reason. Sites similar to mine have earned a bad reputation for scamming people or just being very poor quality in the past, so I think it's very important that the site looks credible to the visitor on their first impression. I guess I don't want to go into too much detail because the site should be able to explain everything to you, and if it can't that is exactly what I want to know.
I am looking for multiple types of input, but I don't expect each person to review everything, obviously, because that is asking too much. Please just review whatever element you want, or all of them if you would be so kind.
I am looking for suggestions on the design elements (I know it looks like it was designed in the 90s and I want to make it look more professional with more of a web 2.0 feel).
I would appreciate suggestions on the actual verbiage on the home page. Am I doing an effective job of getting my intended message across to the user? If you wanted free advertising and visited my site, would you feel comfortable using it or does it look disreputable in any way?
I am also looking for suggestions for ways to improve the free advertising service. I think the actual service functionality is the best part of the site right now but I would appreciate ideas on ways it could improve.
Thank you for your time.
