script hijacked??

I have a script for a textarea scroller that works perfectly when I preview my page.

HOWEVER...

When I save the page and go to my site through the URL (http://www.angelfire.com/stars/LennonMcCartney), the scroller will not load.

The reason for this, I believe, is a strange bit of code that seems to just implement itself into my script whenever the scroller attempts to run.

There are two quotes in the script that contain the words "travel" and "books"... and this weird code has added itself onto these words to point them to other websites.

For instance...

We used to <a href="http://0-days.net?go=travel" onmouseover="window.status = 'goto: travel';return 1" onmouseout="window.status=''">travel</a> miles for a new chord in Liverpool.

and

Instead of projecting myself into a situation I would just try to express what I felt about myself which I had done in me <a href="http://get-faster.com?go=books" onmouseover="window.status = 'goto: books';return 1" onmouseout="window.status=''">books</a>.

I have no idea where this comes from, but I did not put it in my script, and every time I try to delete it from the quotes, it always seems to insert itself back in!

Would anyone have any idea how this happens or what could be done to get rid of it?

I smell a hacker on board, I think you may have some crazy VB script running in your system, which does this, for some reason, there is no absolute reason why your editor, or any other component on your disk would force changes like this, I suggest you reformat your entire disk, and start a new, but first back up all your personals. ;)

P.s. It could just be crappy angel fire adding that crap, so ask them about it before you reformat.

I have read elsewhere that it could well be (and most probably is) an Angelfire Ad Insertion code... but yeah, like you said, probably best to ask them about it first.

I've tinkered with the script a little more and managed to get the scroller moving, but only the first quote will scroll to the end and then the scroller just stops, so it's still vey much a pain in the @$$.

If it was just Angelfire's code that's causing the conflict, I'm not sure if there'd be so much garbage around some of my quotes... for instance:

Stuff like that keeps reinserting itself into my script, sometimes only a few lines long, sometimes even longer than above. Very annoying, but I'll find out from Angelfire what the deal is and post their answer on here when I have one.
