What is the difference between a Development Group and a Developer?

In other words, what is a development group? How do they work?

Normally, group means more than 1 or 2 people, I guess

In a development group, usually each person has a specialty. You'll commonly see at least 1 front end developer (HTML, CSS and JavaScript), 1 backend developer (Java, PHP, .NET, etc), 1 graphic designer, and a manager to be the "buck stops here" person.
