Dreamweaver or Text Editor

Hello all,

I have used Dreamweaver for Intranet sites and Notepad for Internet and Intranet sites. I have heard that Dreamweaver gives people problems. Can someone give me their opinion on what I should use to create my website? I don't mind using notepad or something like that, in fact I think I prefer it. I feel like i'm taking the easy way out when I use Dreamweaver. But, maybe I'm just making life more difficult than it already is.

Any opinions and why?
