problem with FILTER: alpha

okay i tried to use the FILTER: alpha thing so that the background would show through the stuff on my site.. it worked well but.. it makes everything slow well atleast on the right part of my page. It seems link highlights are delayed and scrolling down is delayed. Don't say its my comp cause its not:

I didn't experience any "lagging." But I almost pissed myself when I saw you got tables nested like 6 or 7 deep!
