Hi guys,

I wish to know more about the ways of using PEARL. But as what i can find from the website, everything explained seem to be a little advance.

Is there any website you guys can recommend for beginners of PEARL ?

p.s: i can't even find a reference book that talk about PEARL :(

Please give me an idea where can i find the PEARL tutorial for beginners..

thanks..

I deleted the thread you posted in the PHP section. This is the one that should be used from now on.

Hi guys
to the all-better-knowing IT-"specialists" in the world :

PEARL IS a programming language , close to ADA , follow-up of DATRAN !

It's a real multi-tasking , multi-user and REALTIME! processing highlevel language and compiler for multi processor systems .

Where from i know this ???

I did one of my IT-certificates on a krupp atlas mainframe "some" years ago :) :) :)

I'm an absolutely fan of this language ,because you can develop nearly every scientific solution with this .
Unfortunately it's absolutely of no interest for silly windows users :p ,
because in fact you don't need any windows  to use it :D .
It's a all-in-one solution : operating system w integrated compiler

best regards and hoping to find some other well knowing people

Gee, Fred, I hope those meds kick in real soon now. ;) I suspect if she knows she's looking for something web related then she's probably looking for Perl rather than PEARL. To a large extent Perl is of no interest for silly windows users either but hard core cross platform users often find it pretty handy. I believe Larry Wall originally called his language Pearl but decided the "and" didn't need to be in the acronym.
