the reason you don't buy goods on this site?

hello, every one

I have runned this necktie shop online www.haiwin-necktie.com for nearly one year. there are more than 1000 styles available in shop now .quanlity is very good and the price is low (most of ties are priced $15) however, business is not good. there are only about 20 buyers place orders monthly. I am wondering whether ties are still necessary nowadays. if more and more people wear T-shirt,instead of shirt+ties in office, is it wise to stop further investment on this website?

I also want to know if there are other reasons why people are not willing to buy goods from my website.

I will appreicate any suggestion from you.

For me,

I work with a software company and everyone wears tshirts and shirts and some times shorts so yea but never ties as far as i see it.

hey,

there are still plenty of people who need to wear ties just look at the financial sector and lawyers etc.

maybe you need to do more on marketing, you can not just build a website and expect people to come in.

also when i google for "silk necktie" your on page 7 and a google for "silk necktie shanghai" your on page 3 so thats not great.

you can improve on that by changing your html code so that it is more SEO friendly by usings divs, lists and headings (<h1>etc) instead of tables like its build now.

also maybe you need to put the testimonials more clearly on your site.

overall however i agree with you the site has loads of content, the pictures of the ties are nice, the prices fair (i have not checked shipping fees, maybe you should put that on the site more clearly) and the website looks pretty good too so you should be selling more than 20 a month.

i dont need a tie right now but when i do i will give your shop a try :)

Well, I say that you go with a more straightforward design, you know, keep it simple. And I am not telling you what to do, but I would make other clothing such as hats and belts, and specialize in ties.

And the recent orders list overlaps itself, I don't know if it is just me though. I think that people won't go through the trouble of having something shipped to their home rather than just driving up to the store to get it, because I cant imagine a need to buy ties in bulk. So selling other items would definitely give someone a reason to buy more than one, and custom merchandise as well, a company would certainly buy in bulk to give their employees all ties or hats with their company name printed on the front.
