Hi there

This is the website I'm working on:

http://www.cosmeticdental.co.za/staging

You will see that on this home page, the flash file is displaying fine.

If you click on the Technologies/Procedures Button - under the heading

"CEREC® Single Visit Crowns, Inlays and Veneers" (under the picture)
there is a big blank space there where a flash video should appear. I created an SWF with a video inported into it. The swf displays fine when i preview it, but when I import it into Dreamweaver, it doent preview, nor does it appear online. I had already uploaded the 2 external files when I created the home page banner.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Leigh

Besides the 2 .swf files, have you uploaded the .flv video file? There is none being downloaded when the page loads.

Well typically the .swf is the Flash player and not the actual video file. The video file will be a .flv file. You can however embed the actual video into the main timeline. Is that what you did?
If that's the case then Video-broadband.swf is either a very tiny video (it's only 40KB) or the embedding did not work because no video plays when that file is downloaded.
The other .swf, ClearOverPlayMute.swf is the player skin and controls... so that's not the video either.
If you do a direct download of the problem .swf, you'll see that it is downloading. It's just not playing any video. Most likely because the .flv file is missing or there is a pathing problem.

If you are using the video player component you need a "skin" for it. It seems that originally you had a file called ClearOverPlayMute.swf, which was the skin and controls, now that's missing.
Go back over the steps of creating and using the video player component. There are also custom controls available from Flash menu:
Window/Components/FLVPlayback or FLVPlayback Custom UI.
