I'm having some trouble with adding Bluetooth devices to my computer. I'm able to get them paired okay, but then it says it's looking for drivers for the device and will install them if needed. Either it takes a long, LONG time for it to find the drivers (if they even exist), or it's not doing anything at all. Either way, if it has the drivers or if it doesn't need them (or if it hasn't downloaded them), the devices (a mouse and keyboard in my case) don't seem to connect to the PC. They don't work at all. I'm using Windows Vista Home Premium 64 Bit.

First thing I would do is go to the manufacturers website for your bluetooth device. Chances are, you have 32 bit drivers trying to work on a 64 bit system. Download the 64 bit drivers for vista from them.

From what I have seen, it seems that a lot of bluetooth dongles dont seem to work with 64 bit OS's. If this is the case, there is not much you can do.

If the bluetooth was built in to your computer, go to their website and get the the latest drivers from them.

You may even find that its the drivers for the hardware you are trying to connect, rather than the dongle itself, that you have a problem with. If so, look on their site too.

Try finding the drivers yourself rather than letting WINDOWS do it fo you.

Good luck :)
