positioning image

i have placed the 2 images at the right side of the browser i have given
top: 50% right: 0%

the idea is that these images or the div that holds these images should be fixed at exactly 50% from the top of the browser and on the right side of the browser it is working fine however my question is if you look at the images they do not seem as if they are appearing exactly 50% that is in the middle of the browser they seem to appear 60% or 70% from the top

how to fix this and is it based on the length of the content.

i was trying to create an example similar to websites which have a feedback, facebook or twitter image either on the right side or left side of the page they appear exactly in the middle that is 50% from the top

why not use website templates for your site? it's alot easier and better looking. just suggesting though.. :)

I looked in FF and IE, and the top of those images looks to be 50% down from the top, in both. Have you measured it yourself?
