that file manager thing is awesome, this friend of mine, sujay, made it. I modded it a bit and I am useing it now. It is awesome! Its great when you are somewhere where you cant access ftp, like at school where the ports are blocked or something.

Really a great thing!!! (I downloaded pooljump.mpeg - poor little boy :p). Would honestly like to have it too.

Tiny little thing to add for downloads: if you provided the filesize before the data transfer starts, the user's browser would be able to display the progress bar. Didn't really miss it - but it is so easy to implement - why not add it??

Yea, but that would be a lot of work.... Ill think about adding it some day. This is mainly for personal use as I think I mentioned before. I can guess the file size accuratly too, for a half hour tv show its about 40meg, for a 15 min tv show its 20 meg, for a short movie its between 1 and 10 meg.

it is. Because the file names are what is in that box and that is what is opened in the download prompt and that is the path it gets etc. One thing I could do is have a properties option so when I user clicks it is displays the properties of the current selection. But adding it to the list would mean recodeing it because of the way it was made. That is a lot of code to change too.

I thought, the stuff in the box is generated code (reading directory content etc.).

More important: this stuff is great as it is and I didn't want to insist in anything :p

The stuff in the box is genorated by my computer yes, but when you download the file it is getting the selecteditem.value, the value of the items is produced by adding the directory from the lable where it says the dir your in, and the item text. So changing either of those would mean changing the path to the file, what the download button sees to download it would download the wrong file.

Not to push the issue (yeah, right :p) but it would be rather simple to add it in a format that could be removed later, no?

heh, you have to remember this is for personal use mainly. If I get motivated I might have a file properties box in there when you click on a command button or double click the list but thats it :D .

I screwed up lol. I accidentially deleted all of my movies and music, 14 gig. I have it on another hard drive but I will not be able to put it back till tomorrow because I do not have an extra power cord to run the "cardboard comp" (A spare motherboard and processor and psu that I have in a cardboard box). I will get a new case and a new power cord tomorrow for the system I am making my brother so I will just use that, but till then I cant listen to my music in winamp :( , Ill just have to settle to what I burned to cd which is in my stereo (Most of that good 80s music I had :D ). Feel free to upload crap onto my box lol. If you want ur own account ill pm you the url of the registry page.
