Hi there,

I want to create a section within my company website which can be easily updated by people with no coding skills and also can allow a consistent format across pages.

What I want to do is:

-Have a page(s) showing thumbnails of images with links to large hi-res versions, with a short description of each underneath. Perhaps a main menu page with links to each 'gallery'.

-Have a page showing a list of links to PDF and text documents - perhaps in a nice clear table format with little 'icons'

-Be able to theme the page so it fits with the rest of the company website/colours.

-Have it so that its all formatted consistently across all of the pages. At the moment each page is formatted using HTML and tables and its becoming a nightmare to add new things but also in displaying it - its all over the place.

I am guessing that (maybe?) a web-based CMS is the best option but the trouble I am having is that I only really have some HTML skills and get a bit lost when it comes to the whole server, php, MySQL type of stuff... I can follow instructions but seem to lack the knowledge about how to install and program it all.

Ideally it would be something that someone can log into and 'upload' new images with - someone who couldnt use dreamweaver etc (like my boss) but thats not essential - the main issue is the consistency and cleanliness.

So I am looking for a solution that is easy to set-up, free (or very cheap) and can meet my needs above.

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks
Danielle
