Hello

Can anybody please tell me what is the best and most effective way of submitting websites to search engines? How to do it?

www.dmoz.org submit your site there, they are a large site directory, if you get on them you will most likely get on google since they feed to google. Then submit your site to alltheweb, alta vista (I think they have a submission form) and yahoo. Those are some major engines that let you add your site rather then having to go through a paid submission service.

Just make your pages using valid, semantic (X)HTML with CSS for layout, find a few sites who will link to it, and let them crawl it. Google found my personal site around a week after I released it.
