Is it true that we can now register Chinese domain names? Which registrar should I go to?

I just bought 7 chinese domains from http://godaddy.com. Were IDNs recently released or were they around for a while.

IE6 does not natively support IDN's

When was the first day when we were allowed to register IDNs? II heard that the first 3 IDNs were released for testing in May.

Also, are we allowed to purchase websites like microsoft.com, ebay.com, etc in other languages? Would it infringe any copyrights? I registered 贝宝.net(paypal),罗渣士.com(rogers),パナソニック.net(panasonic),苹果公司.net(apple), as well as some other Asian brands and celebrities.

They were available from the beginning of this year (http://www.icann.org/en/announcements/announcement-21jan10-en.htm) from some countries.

I don't know enough about international copyright law, but I imagine the big players have this covered.
