Hello!
I'm new to this and - if I'm totally honest - new to the wonderful world of blogging. And I need help because I think someone is giving me poor (and expensive) advice.
If you have any knowledge of WordPress and have the time to answer some questions for me, I'd really appreciate it. Questions are below, if you are still awake!
1. I have a word press site which is proving to be quite popular and I would like to create a member's only area. I don't need anything too clever or fussy (no big e-commerce solutions etc) I just want to be able to charge people to get access to the more meaningful content - they pay an annual subscription offline and I give them a unique username and password to gain access to the member's only area.
If you know what the process would be to do this (and roughly how long it would take an experienced web developer) I would be forever in your debt. The person who I've paid for advice so far has come back with a figure to do this job which is almost what it cost me to get the website designed and built. "Naughty Mummy" is a social networking site for mums who feel isolated and alone during the first year of their kid's lives and its a not-for profit endeavor. This annual membership idea is to help me cover the costs of running the network and site!
