favicons no show in IE

i made a favicon and inserted it into my website www.georgelangenberg.com by putting

<link rel="shortcut icon" href="../achtergrond/fav.ico " type="../achtergrond/fav.ico">

now i can see it in mozilla firebird no problem.

I see it only once in netscape navigator.

and this favicon never pops up in explorer.

anyone knows what's the fix for this problem with explorer..:confused:

I read it and so basicly it's not certain or unsure when they will be displayed or not... very vague isn't it?

Why can’t I see my favicon in the address/location bar?
In Internet Explorer, click the icon in the address bar. Hold down the button and move the icon a tiny bit to the right and let go. Try this two or three times. Usually that is all you need to do!

Try it. It worked for me.

i don't use explorer I use firebird , i wish everyone else did so as well but I need't to check in explorer as well

Yes, sadly, the majority of the population doesn't realize that Micro$oft is an evil terrorist organization bent on taking over the world; and filling it with horrible software such as Internet Explorer and M$ Front Page. :( Too bad...
