IE6 not displaying web content, and dreamweaver MX04 color

for some reason IE6 is not displaying web content.

things like ads and even flash movies and pictures, also some javascripts.

and when i hover over a link it says "shortcut to _____" not the URL.

it's not just IE, i donwload firebird and netscape and i am really getting pissed off becuase i made a site and it is blocking my flash navigation.

how do i set my internet to display ALL web content.

i have norton internet security 2004 pro if that matters at all.

also when i load Dreamweaver the code is just black on a white background, even with the properties set to color it just shows up black and white.

this is starting to f*ck me off too,

first of all if you are using dreamweaver for its WYSIWYG features you can't expect your site to work the way you intend it too :rolleyes: . It will only work on one browser and one resulution with a WYSIWYG editor. Second make sure you have the flash plugins on firebiard and ie6. You need to install them separatly because they read from different plugin direcotries. Firebird is the better browser so I would suggest using it for normal browsing but you need to keep ie6 around since it is the most commonly used. A hypertext link needs to link a file in the same directory or a sub dir or you need the full url. Also look in the firbird tool bar for plug-in faq.

i have flash and all the plug-ins, it's only recently sarting doing it.

and i am not using the WYSIWYG part of Dreamweaver

then why are you compaining about the background color in dreamweaver?

becuase the code is black and white and it should be in color.

Oh, ok, is this just for html? Does it change colors when you do java script or any other scripting? What version are you using?

i have MX04 but it is ok now, i want went and got my copy back and re-installed it.

works ok now.
