Hey guys..... I recently started up a new tech blog & a lot of the times I like to add images to my posts..... I don't have a problem paying for them from places like istockphoto etc..... but sometimes these places just don't have what you need; such as a photo of a specific product you may have an article comparing other products to etc..... without actually buying the product & taking the picture myself, what way can I go about it? There are obviously stacks of images on google images for them, but I just don't wanna use images if I'm going to be in copyright infringement or something.

Can anybody give me any advice?

Thank You!

If you want to use a product picture in a blog post, you could just contact the company and ask for permission.

Darren Rowse, renowned pro blogger, has an interesting article (http://www.problogger.net/archives/2007/06/08/where-to-get-product-pictures-for-your-blog/) where he says that he uses product images without permission and hasn't had any trouble. The comments below are pretty interesting as well.
