Invoice System

I'm working as a contractor and trying to find an invoice / payment system to manage client invoices. I'd like to be able to login to an admin and create / manage new invoices and clients. Then have options to send them to the client with email notifications etc.

I could build one myself but I'm sure there are programs out there I could try first. Anyone have recommendations? Thanks in advance.

Have you looked at Freshbooks? Offers what you're loooking for and they have a free plan as well....I don't have any experience with them though.
