Shade flash effect: very beautiful and in Italy untraceable!

I would like to build a shade flash effect that I can use for all my web sites but I can not do that. Could you help me to recreate it? :( I found it on a template but the .fla there was not.

Looks like a few gradients being tweened around to me. Shouldn't be too hard to do on the timeline or with a tween engine in code
