My WP blog has an RSS feed apparently created for me automatically. How do I provide an RSS feed on a standard web site? Does the RSS feed file have to created by hand?

I found a site with instructions on how to create a feed. It was simple enough. I created one for my web site and it validated. I need someone to subscribe to see if it really works?
