I have placed an rss feed on a web site that I built and maintain. It's simple and basic and passed validation.
If I subscribe to the feed through Feed Demon using the exact url of the file, all is well. But when I only use the url of the home page, FeedDemon tells me there is not a valid feed or it's not auto-available.
I am wondering...what does a feed reader look for when searching for a feed? Or what would visitors to this web site normally place in their feed readers to subscribe?
