sending mail prob

Hi guys,

i tried to use mail function to send email back to my POP3 mailbox but i can't receive the email ... when i tried to send it to other email account from different server or yahoo mail it just works fine.. in other words, it works fine if i send to other email host server but not myself..

why is that so ??? is that mean we can not use mail function to send email back to the POP3 account from the same server ??? or did i miss something ???

assuming that my website is myweb.com, then my pop3 incoming and outgoing server is mail.myweb.com..

p.s: hope u guys get what i am trying to say,..

I think this is some configuration issue, probably somewhere in the php.ini file. I had the opposite problem awhile ago, where I couldn't send mail to any other servers. Pyro told me it was something in the php.ini file, so your problem might have something to do with that. I'm no expert, though, so I'm just guessing.

then where should i amend in the php.ini file ??? besides, actually i am not the administrator of the server ... i dun think i have the permission to do the setting, am i right ???

Like I said, I'm not sure exactly what your problem requires. For me, it was caused by PHP being in safe mode. Tell the server admin about the problem.
