I'm currently considering if I need a content management system for my website and if so which one. There are a lot of great free/open source cms out there and I have pretty much no experience with any of them.

My website is generally quite simple but all the content on the website needs to be changeable dynamically through some content management. However that's really as complicated as it's going to get there isn't going to be any user profiles or login systems, no forums or anything like that. However some content will also needed to be added, not just changed.

I was considering whether I should include a content management system here or just write my own as there isn't that much to manage. I would appreciate any advice on this subject.

Joomla! If you have cPanel through your host, see Fantastico for a one step install.

joomla is very easy to install with fantastico (pretty amazing with the updates as well). it will let you know if the latest version of the CMS is released and you can update it with a click. i've used it many times. definite worth trying
