how to develop sms application using smpp.

I have developed SMS Management application for my Nokias several years ago and it still does the job such as reading, writing, sending, receiving sms via my phone connected to my pc with a usb. However never tried with Java, but here is a resource that I just looked up and seem to be doing all that you probably want it to do.
