I don't know about anyone else who has viewed this thread but I'm not sure what your question is. Are you asking for a good CMS product? If so, we'll be able to better answer if you can clearly describe what your planned uses are for the CMS. Are you asking for a payment gateway? If so, we'll be able to make suggestions based on a clearer description of the desired features. Are you asking for a shopping cart/web payment interface? If so, we'd be able to help you better with a more concise description of what you are wanting the product to do.

In other words....there really isn't enough information to make a recommendation about any of the products you've linked to given your description of what you want.

Ok! I am sorry. I try to add some informations...

I am looking for payment CMS to build a community and I would like to know these information:
1.No logo: I do not want to read its brand or logo in graphic interface and I do not want to find them into the code too. (With the browser – View – Page Source)
2.Private Access: If the person is not registered he cannot see users’ pictures and names. If a person enroll he cannot see pictures and names but it must wait my approval… that is… I must setup privacy settings in the product such that all members need to be manually approved.
3.Chat and forum support: People logged can chat very well like on Facebook.
4.Italian Language: The language of the software must be Italian and I can modify it easily if I find some mistakes or lanks.
5.Group: Users have to add people to one friend list.
6.Free English Support: I must learn to use this support using forum or chat. (free support)
7.Free Hosting: I must learn to use this software on free hosting because I want to buy hosting and license when I finished my work. (netsons, ilbello, ecc...)
8.Free survey plugin: Male users must vote for 5 girls and female users must vote for 5 boys. (After this I must download from the site a .csv file with these two matrixes. In the following report there is an example: )
Male Users
Male User 1 – Girl 12 – Girl 2 – Girl 58 – Girl 102 – Girl1
Male User 2 – Girl 86 – Girl 5 – Girl 1 – Girl 500 – Girl73
Male User 3 – Girl 456 – Girl 2 – Girl 58 – Girl 1002 – Girl56
Male User 4 – Girl 32 – Girl 2 – Girl 25 – Girl 102 – Girl1000
…
Female Users
Vice versa
…
Users can not see answers of others. I can read answer only on .csv file.
9.Rendering on mobile touch phone.
10.License unlimited. I can use it for many web project. I can have unlimited software updates.
Perhaps it doesn't exist a software with all these functions so I am looking that it approach better my aim.

Thanks

I'm not sure what a "payment CMS" is...can you clarify?

ubaldo.gulotta

It is a CMS that it is not free. It is a product very powerful, quick and safe. It is a product where many functions are already installed. I want to do to you an example:
Free CMS
http://www.phpbb.it/
Payment CMS
http://www.vbulletin.com/
Both products are very good but vbulletin is better...
Can you understand my question now?
I am sorry for my English, it is so horrible... :(

Just because something costs more money doesn't always mean it is better. The software that meets your requirements should be the one selected rather than selecting one you pay for just for the sake of paying for it. I'd say take a look at wordpress or joomla to see if they have modules that suit your needs best.

Yes, sure! I agree with you but it is hard to build a web site with Joomla or WordPress so I am thinking to start with a professional software. The point 8 is very long so I must build socialnetwork quickly. If it is possible I would like guarantee on the script too. I am looking for a specific software to reach my aim quickly and with security.
Thanks
I found this software:
http://openatrium.com/
It is built with drupal but is a beta only...

You've got quite a lesson to learn here. As criterion pointed out, just because something costs money doesn't mean it is better, it just means it costs money.

WordPress is a super system to have as a CMS, and I think you'll find that a lot of open source software is better than there commercial counterparts.

What's your favorite web browser?

ubaldo.gulotta
11-17-2010, 02:48 PM
My favorite web browsers are Mozilla, Opera, Safari and Chrome but I validate my project with Netscape and Internet Explorer (6), 7 and 8 too.

I used WordPress with BuddyPress and I like it very much but I don't find a free chat and it is long to configure. It is necessary to do a thousand things. I found a chat like Facebook but it costs like a 400 day license of Dolphin and when I use SocialEngine it seems to have a spaceship.

Point made -

Mozilla = open source
Chrome = open source

Webkit rendering engine (used by safari and chrome) = open source

Why many famous web site was built with vbulletin?

I don't think that the owner of flepstudio did not know phpbb...
I don't find a free solution but the best solution!
I tried Elgg and Buddypress but it is not beautiful like other cms that I told you...

Do you mean beautiful as in "pretty" or "functionally appropriate"? I have yet to find a CMS that you cannot skin to your heart's desire with whatever awesome design you have. I'm still not sure why you keep going back to phpBB as far as I know that project is dead in the water and is no longer maintained. Based on your description as I understand it you are looking for a CMS product that has a forum style and survey type plugin not a forum with extra CMS stuff added in. Is that analysis accurate? I'm still somewhat confused what it is you are asking for guidance with.

You told me that a payment CMS is not a good chance but I sent you some examples where it is. I am not interested only at the forum but I would like a CMS like SocialEngine, Boonex Dolphin, JomSocial, etc… I spoke to you about vBulletin because I wanted that you saw an example about success on payment CMS. I found your question very hard because I am Italian but I think that the answer is: BOTH! "pretty" AND "functionally appropriate". For the point 8 I think that the only solution is LimeSurvey. However I would like that you help me if you know very well payment CMS. To understand my aim read 11-15-2010 07:23 AM post.

I didn't say a paid version of anything was a bad choice. I only asked why you have decided to eliminate free options. "pretty" can be achieved on all CMSs I've ever used. "functionally appropriate" is what will be more tricky. What exact features do you need? Based on your previous posts I'm seeing forum posts, customizable survey, and ______? The blank is for where you seem to have something in mind but I'm still not quite sure I've understood what it is you are looking for.

I would like to use a ready CMS (no long installation, no plugin and safe).
Here there is an example: (Look please)

http://demo.socialengine.net/admin/auth/login

I could make those requirements work for drupal, wordpress, joomla, etc. What you use in the end is up to you though I'm not convinced you will find something configured to your specifications out of the box so you'll undoubtedly have to configure/install something.

You can remove the logo from wordpress, joomla, and drupal. You just have to alter the codebase or do customizations (depending on what exactly you are wanting to do and which product you are working with).

No, it is illegal to remove logo or brand of either Drupal, Joomla, or WordPress, etc... :(

criterion9
11-21-2010, 07:55 AM
Where does it say that? I am unable to find anything that says it is illegal to switch out the logo... I have found lots of documentation saying it was perfectly legal (as long as you leave the copyright info in the source) to brand the three CMSs to your hearts content. In fact the license even allows you to resell the software if you make code changes or to sell the use of the software if you are providing it as a service. Can you point me to anywhere that has claimed it is illegal to brand any of those three?

Wordpress:

Joomla:

However I did not find good solutions. BuddyPress has not a good chat. PHPfreechat is not beautiful because when I write long sentences I have graphic problem.
Drupal and Joomla seem good but they are hard to use for me. I am trying Drupal in this time and I deleted logo like you told me but I am not sure that it is a right solution for me. In my opinion SocialEngine is another thing. I downloaded drupal commons as well but I can not install it. I tried on netsons, ilbello, aruba,... I don't undestand the meaning... When I choose to install drupal commons instead standard drupal (6.19) it stops... Mah... I saw Atrium as well but it is a beta software and I don't see a free support... What about my choice?
