www.aspfreeserver.com is back up! Someone here had some linkage to an article that I believe said aspfreeserver.com went out of business. I had just signed up for hosting with them when apparently something got defunked, and all my attempts to reach their site, or mine, or connect via FTP, failed.

But... they're back up!

sounds unstable, why do you use them anyway and not the ms sponsored hosting on webmatrix? The reason I ask is asp free only supports access data bases, and wmh has 10meg of mssql server for free.

There are bound to be tons more free php hosts then asp hosts because w2k3 and w2k cost money to licence. You can't use IIS commercially w/ out paying for it. Here is a php host you might like www.flatface.net

I use them because they are the best free hosting that I've found so far that also supports PHP. And about this webmatrix place, I might've used them, 'cept I didn't even know they existed...

I thought I made sure everyone knew :P

they are ms sponsored asp.net hosting, they have 20 meg of space, 10 meg of sql server space, code behinds, smtp access, uncapped bandwidth, everything you would get from a commercial asp.net hosting service, but its free. Its just asp.net though, not asp classic php or cgi. Suits my needs though, since all I use regularly is asp.net

its kind of funny when you are all using a host that has asp in the name mainly because you like their php support. Its kind or ironic. :D

Heheh, yeah, you're right, that is kinda funny. :D
Now, I didn't know they supported PHP; I thought it was only ASP, 'cause, after all, it's aspfreeserver.com;)
