I have 2 URL's: site1.com and site2.com. site1.com is a 10yr old URL and site2.com is a 6 month old URL. I want to take advantage of the fact that site1.com URL has been around for 10yrs, so I was thinking of duplicating the site from site2.com and putting it under the URL of site1.com also. Would Google penalize this for "duplicate content"??
If this is the case, would it then make more sense to just have the site under site1.com and do a 301 re-direct from site2.com to site1.com??
The thing is, I have had the site indexed under site2.com for the last 5 months and currently site1.com is being re-directed to site1.com
I just thought that if I did it the other way around possibly, that using the "older" URL for the actual site content would help with SEO
Thoughts?
